Welcome to Joesnet, a division of UnixCorps.org. This site is dedicated to OSS and its ideals. All the software that I create will be licensed either under the GPL or under the BSDL. You will find that a large chunk of this site is dedicated to JWM (Joe's Window Manager). It is a piece of software that I believe will eventually be recognized as an equal to fluxbox and icewm.
Well, I was born in May of '74 in Western Pennsylvania. I lived there for 21 years and then I joined the U.S. AirForce to become a Weather Observer and then on to become a Weather Forecaster. While I was in school for Observing I married the woman of my life. We currently have 3 boys.
I was introduced to computers back in high school where I took a course in Pascal. That was the only time I saw a computer up close until I was at my first duty station. I started messing around with the idea of having my own website. I learned HTML from Tripod and thought I was the stuff. Then I came to my current duty station and that is when I was introduced to Linux (I use LINUX in the generic term for all GNU/Linux Operating Systems) and Perl. I have been on a quest ever since then to learn what I can and teach others about Linux. I have also tried to teach myself other languages. I have learned a little about bash scripting, visual basic scripting, batch files and C programming. At the same time as learning the different languages, I have expanded my knowledge on OS's and managing them. I have used both *BSD and many flavors of Linux.
I hope that you will find my site useful. I have projects that support JWM and a couple of projects are may be useful to the average user. I also have a blog that you can find the latest news on the site, JWM or my personal life. Also you will find a copy of the JWM site, some themes that I have created for JWM, a guide to help the new JWM user and last, if I find something particularly useful or something I thinks needs my support I will add it to my links page.
